Brownfields Assessment Program

A brownfield is a property of which the redevelopment, or reuse of may be complicated the presence or the potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. Brownfields are generally abandoned, idle or underused properties, or vacant land where a facility once stood.

If you believe you have a site that may qualify as a brownfield and would like to request assessment services (Phase I or Phase II) under the grant, please complete the attached form and return to our office. If you have a potential site but are unsure if it would qualify, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Applications will be review promptly and you will be contacted within two weeks regarding approval, requests for additional information, and/or next steps. Applications will be funded on a first come first serve basis.
