Iconic Mill set to re-open in August; new chef in place

Bellevue's Andrew Weis has come full-circle.
Back in his high school days, he used to work as a kitchen helper at Potter's Mill. Now he's back as head chef of the classic Bellevue attraction, which is scheduled to open the first week in August after being closed for a few years.
Weis, the son of Ardell and Deb Weis, grew up on a dairy farm west of town. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 2004 and went on to graduate from Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis in 2006.
Most recently a chef at the Hotel Julienin Dubuque, Wies has worked at upper end establishments such as Eagle Ridge near Galena and Woodfire Grill in Dubuque."Potter's Mill is really where I took an interst in the culinary arts."
