(Dubuque, IA) - Dubuque native Pete Eggers is among 11 young professionals aiming to turn donations through Indiegogo.com into moneymaking endeavors for other Iowans.

The group, led by Brandon Adams, 25, will stage the Young Entrepreneur Convention on April 22-23 In Des Moines. It has raised around $14,000 and will add extras to the event as more donations are received through the online donation site.

"By pledging to the campaign, you are not only getting a ticket to an awesome event, but you are supporting entrepreneurs who are driving our economy and building a foundation for this country in the years to come," said Adams, a Garnavillo, Iowa, native now living in Des Moines.

Eggers, 33, knows a little bit about making money. According to his bio on the Indiegogo.com site, he helped launch an Internet-based travel club in 2011 at age 27, growing it from $50 million in revenue to more than $600 million in 2015. He expects the club to get even bigger. (full article…)
