Thomson Prison Hosts Jobs Fair

The Thomson Correctional Center will be hosting a job fair beginning Tuesday, September 16.
The Federal Prison located in Thomson Illinois was built in 2001, but after years of sitting empty, the federal government purchased the facility in 2012 for $165 million.
The prison is expected to create 1,100 jobs; federal officials anticipate the prison will alleviate prison crowding.
