Iowa OKs money for Dubuque business expansions

The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board on Friday green-lighted state funding for expansions at Cottingham & Butler and Hirschbach Motor Lines.

The board awarded $600,000 in direct financial assistance to Cottingham & Butler and $500,000 to Hirschbach Motor Lines, with incentives for each business coming through the state's High Quality Jobs Program.

"This is the state's signature program, and the overarching goal is to create high-quality jobs that will remain in the economy for the long-term," said Tina Hoffman, marketing and communications director for IEDA. (full article…)
