Easton Valley, School, Quality of Life

ANDREW, Iowa — Two Jackson County school districts announced their new superintendent Friday, a little more than one month after the districts’ shared leader announced plans to resign.

Chris Fee will take over as superintendent of both the Easton Valley and Andrew school districts July 1. He will replace Andy Crozier, who is set to take the top job with Central Lee Community Schools in Donnellson.

Fee has been principal of Oak Park Elementary School in Des Moines for five years. According to a press release from Easton Valley and Andrew schools, Oak Park Elementary was Des Moines’ highest-achieving Title 1 public school. About 80 percent of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

The Marion native said he was looking for a job that “shared the same values of education.”

“From the moment I started researching Easton Valley and Andrew school districts, I got a feeling and that sense (of shared values),” Fee said. “The more I got to meet with the people and get to know the administrators of the district, the members of the school board … the more I knew I had found the right fit for me.” (full article…)
