Flatted Fifth Blues & BBQ at Potter’s Mill in Bellevue, Iowa is proud to
announce Chef Drew Weis's win at the Iowa Public Radio’s Battle of the
Chefs competition in Cedar Rapids on May 4, 2016. Chef Weis prepared a
Cold Smoked, Roasted Pork Ribeye on a bed of Buttermilk Smashed
Potatoes, topped with Horseradish, Peppadew Jelly, House-made Bacon
crumble and a Parmesan Chip.

The Bellevue based restaurant, specializing in Memphis-style BBQ and New
Orleans Cajun cuisine, was opened in August 2014 by proprietors Mark and
Rachel Herman. As proud supporters of live music, Flatted Fifth Blues &
BBQ offers their stage to some of the brightest Blues and Jazz musicians
internationally, showcasing the sounds of their inspiration cities. Capitalizing
on historic charm, influence of Mississippi River culture and a personal love
of all things food, the Hermans have reestablished Potter’s Mill as a regional
destination in the Eastern Iowa landscape.
