BELLEVUE, Iowa — After 10 years teaching first grade together at Bellevue Elementary School, Lisa Roth and Emily Reeg are pretty much in sync.

Though the two teach separate classes, they have similar styles and philosophies. They also sometimes find themselves dressing alike, reading the same books and finishing each other’s thoughts.

“We’re able to feed off of each other,” said Roth, now in her 19th year at Bellevue Elementary and her 33rd year as a teacher.

The two now are being recognized for their work in the classroom. Roth recently was named the 2017 Iowa Masonic Teacher of the Year by the Grand Lodge of Iowa A.F. & A.M. (full article)
